Why do our legislators worry more about 'getting people in line" than understanding the reasons for dissent?
I fear that the words "Leader" and "Leadership" have irreversibly changed. This my list of outdated words and titles used in our legislature, and proposed replacements with more contemporary meaning:
Whip -> Taser, The Enforcer
Bill -> Nonsense Speaker -> Dictator ( alternate: BoomBox)
Leader -> Slave (as in sycophant to the _______ national party committee)
Sargent at arms -> The Bouncer
Rider -> Parasite
gain support -> Threaten
gain support -> Pander
Try substituting .....
"The house Speaker spoke to senate minority Leader about this bill, who the sent the Whip to moderates in order to gain support and collect the Riders that would allow the Bill to pass."
"The house Dictator spoke to the senate minority Slave about this Nonsense, who sent the Taser to moderates in order to {threaten, pander}, and collect the parasites that would allow this Nonsense to pass"
